About Fishpond Ironworks
Fishpond Ironworks is a subsidiary of Bó Steel Ltd which was founded by Paul Lyons in 2007 after a career in the Military. Although Bó Steel focuses on the agricultural market, our founder has always had a passion for entrance gates and wrought iron work and in 2018 launched a the new venture dedicated to that side of the business, Fishpond Ironworks.
As the business grew over the years, it moved several times before settling in our location today in a former Bord na Mona site just outside Athenry in the village of Attymon. Prior to this location, the businesses was located near an middle age tower house or castle at ‘The Fishpond’, Kilchreest, Loughrea, Co Galway. The site has been the location for the film ‘Alfred the great’ in 1969. It was from the location with the tower house silhouetted against the skyline that our logo was inspired from.
In the past few years, our team of expert fabricators have completed a number of key projects including sculptures, feature gates and bespoke metalwork.
Fishpond Iron works specialises in gates that are anything but ordinary or common place, if you need something bespoke but is long lasting and well made, you have come to the right place
